The Victim
Dr. Mara Vale
Chief Radiologist
Mara Vale was Northbridge's chief radiologist and the department's strictest MRI safety voice. She stayed late after a fault report in Sublevel B.
A projectile emergency turns Northbridge Medical Center's basement imaging wing into a locked room. Dr. Mara Vale, chief radiologist, is dead inside the MRI scan suite after a steel oxygen cylinder crossed the active magnet's line and became a projectile. Five staff members remain sealed on Sublevel B: the biomedical engineer who maintained the safety systems, the anesthetist whose drug counts do not balance, the resident who altered scan notes, the security officer whose corridor camera went dark, and the MRI technologist who argued with Vale over protocol. The wing's machinery kept its own account: scanner events, Zone 3 and Zone 4 badge swipes, ferromagnetic-detector bypass logs, and oxygen-cylinder barcodes.
Reconcile scanner logs, safety overrides, and oxygen custody before the lockdown lifts.
The Victim
Chief Radiologist
Mara Vale was Northbridge's chief radiologist and the department's strictest MRI safety voice. She stayed late after a fault report in Sublevel B.
The MRI Technologist
Senior MRI Technologist
Jules Park is the senior MRI technologist on the scanner suite and was responsible for the last safety checklist before the alarm.
The Security Officer
Hospital Security Officer
Marta Solis was the security officer assigned to Sublevel B access control when the MRI lockdown sealed the imaging wing.
The Anesthetist
Staff Anesthetist
Nisha Raman is the anesthetist on call for sedated imaging and was inside Sublevel B when the projectile alarm sealed the wing.
The Radiology Resident
Radiology Resident
Leo Brant is a radiology resident finishing a late emergency read in Sublevel B under Mara Vale's supervision.
The Biomedical Engineer
Biomedical Engineer
Eli Kern is the biomedical engineer responsible for MRI safety-system maintenance and late-night scanner fault calls.
Common Area
The sealed Sublevel B waiting area, now a command post under red emergency lights and projectile-alarm strobes.
Restricted
The controlled MRI threshold with badge readers, the ferromagnetic detector gate, patient carts, and warning signage.
Crime Scene
The Zone 4 scanner room and control-side threshold: active magnet, observation glass, patient table, and the fatal oxygen-cylinder path.
Restricted
A locked equipment room with gas cylinders, MRI-safe sleeves, service tags, barcode scanner, and maintenance shelves.
Private
A small medication prep room with locked drug drawers, waste bins, sedation charts, and a pass-through to the service corridor.
Private
A dim radiology workroom lined with diagnostic monitors, dictation mics, late coffee, and Mara's compliance packet.
Restricted
A glassed-in console with corridor camera controls, lockdown status, badge-event monitors, and Marta's access tablet.
Restricted
A back corridor linking security, anesthesia prep, and biomedical storage, with one alcove camera and staff-only badge readers.
